We train for all those months, and then suddenly a twist is thrown into the mix.
There was so much to be lost. Thousands of neck hairs rising en masse. Flash mobs and bubblegun mania to get the party started. Cheer crews matching all kinds of next level energy. And that was just at the start.
The homemade signs of support. The treks made. The love everywhere. The fists pumped skywards. The tears. The overwhelming pride. The missions made. The odds, overcome. And at the centre of it all: you.
Every year, RBC GranFondo Whistler serves up something different. But what stays the same is the incredible electricity and magic in the air. It's a rare feeling, and it's hard to find. And yet, it's always what we indelibly remember most in life.
September 6 will go down as a challenge - a beautiful challenge - for the books. We have no doubt that the next edition on Sept 12, 2026 will become just as meaningful for so many new, undiscovered reasons.
